The Baptist

"And you, come forth to receive your communion" preached Father Phobetor, pointing to the next in line in the congregation. The supplicant climbed the stairs to the dais and knelt in holy prayer. Father Phobetor gestured and a hooded figure approached the worshiper, dousing him in divine vapors and bringing visions of the Emperor.

Another of Father Phobetor's congretation is finished. At his right hand is his baptist, who purifies the congregation for admission into the cult. He's a fairly simple, but I think effective conversion. I based him on a Bretonnian Grail Pilgrim. I carved off his left hand and replaced it with the gas gun from the Esher plastics.

On his back I mounted a backpack from a metal servitor and copious amounts of greenstuff tubing to both a gas mask and the gas gun. The gas mask was a piece of plastic tube with a brass pin to hold it in place.

I primed him with with a zenithal primer using Stynylrez Ebony Skin Tone and Vallejo Bone White. The non-metallic parts were painted much the same way as the other members--mainly lots of thin layers concentrated in the recesses. The gas was was painted with Warcolor's Neon Green.

The metallics were painted with Scale 75 Decayed Metal and were highlighted by mixing in Scale 75 Trash Metal, then washed with various shades for the silver pieces. The brass portions were highlighted with Scale 75 Victorian Brass and washed with Secret Weapon Algae. All in all, he's my favorite so far of the bunch, even if he's also the least like Don Hans' stuff.

    1. Thanks! That's one of the inspirations I am taking from Don Hans.

  2. Love Don Han's work.

This new feller looks a little like he might be the most likely member of the team to suffer extreme flatulence. The gas mask gives this away imo.
